It’s time to start thinking about the winter season! Winter is a great opportunity to try out new activities with friends and family, or even on your own.
Here is a list of activities to celebrate the season at its fullest potential.

Go Ice Skating
Ice skating is one of the most popular activities in the winter. Don’t be afraid to try it out! It’s even more fun out with friends and family and you can help each other out. A great place where you can go ice skating is the Dolder Eisbahn in Zurich. You can take the Tram 6 via “Zurich, Zoo” directly from Zurich HB to the ice rink and it takes around 30 minutes to get there. Go for it! And remember, the worst thing that can happen is falling down!
A Trip to the Christmas Market
A nice trip to the Christmas market with friends and family is always a fun option. We are lucky to have our Christmas market open this year at Bellevue. Keep in mind, you should maintain social distancing and wear your mask if you don’t eat one of the delicious food options or a warm Glühwein, as it tends to get crowded. You also need to show your Covid-Certificate so bring a valid ID with you. Stay safe out there but also have fun!
Go Christmas shopping
There is nothing nicer than walking through the streets of Zurich. You have the great option to do a bit of shopping and look for some nice gifts to give to your loved ones. On our Lions Journal Website, you will also find an article where you can read about some gift ideas for your friends/ brother/ sister/ parents and more. Check it out!
Build a snowman/ make a snow angel
Building a snowman is one of the most known activities to do. No matter how old you are, it will always be fun to play in the snow with your friends, making a snowman or even a snow angel. So, put on your warm clothes, and get out there in the snow. A snowball fight is always a fun element of surprise!
Go for a walk
Whether you go for a walk through the woods or in the mountains, going for a walk is always a nice and calm activity to do. It can help clear your mind from all the stress and you can just take a break and rest.
One tradition that never fails to bring joy, is to bake cookies with your friends and family. There are a lot of different cookies you can make and the best reward is eating them with a warm cup of milk. Here you can find a link to a great website where you learn how to make delicious cookies.
Just remember to always wear a mask wherever you go and keep your distance! 🙂
